The Squirrel on a Log

This charming character is known as the Squirrel on a Log, a close friend of the Church Mice. He lives quietly in the cathedral grounds, nestled within an old oak tree, and is every bit as shy as the mice themselves.

Once the congregation has gone home and the grounds fall silent, the squirrel emerges from his little hole. First, he goes in search of nuts, and then, with a cheeky glint in his eye, calls for the mice to see if there might be a little Stilton cheese going spare. Soon it is playtime, and off they go together on nocturnal adventures within the cathedral.

Each Animal is cast in resin from a mould taken directly from the original hand-carved sculpture. They are not wooden carvings, though their carefully finished surface reflects the warmth and character of aged oak. Produced in small batches with great care and attention to detail, some pieces are made to order, so please allow 3–4 days before dispatch.
