About Oakapple Designs

Oakapple Designs is a British design company, based in Yorkshire, and inspired by England’s carved traditions, as found in historic buildings, castles, medieval churches and cathedrals.

 

 

For decades, we have worked with heritage sites, drawing from medieval stonework and architectural detail to create faithful reproductions and original designs that honour the spirit of the originals while bringing them into contemporary life. 

Our customers include York Minster, Lincoln Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, St. Georges of Windsor Castle, English Heritage, Skipton Castle, Chester Cathedral, St. Martin in the fields – London, Leeds Council, National Galleries, Holy Trinity Church of Stratford upon Avon and the National assembly for Wales along with many other Cathedrals, Castles and Gift shops.

Designed in-house by Oakapple Designs and hand carved by our commissioned master sculptor Nick Hunter. Finished by hand, the Church Mice are not mass-produced ornaments, but thoughtfully made keepsakes — intended to be discovered, collected, and enjoyed over time.

Craftsmanship & Materials

All reproductions are hand cast in a resin composite and individually stained to produce an exceptionally accurate copy of the original carving, capturing every line, texture, and expression. These highly collectable figures are hand produced exclusively by Oakapple Designs Ltd. See also care of your mice and in the case of a manufacturing defect see returns.

Size

Most figurines are about 3-4 inches tall.

All our products are hand made. If an item is not currently in stock, it will be made to order. We aim to dispatch within 3–4 working days, but during busy periods please allow up to 10 days.
