Robin Hood

Somewhere in the heart of England, within one of the great and glorious cathedrals of this land, there is a set of medieval choir stalls.
Beneath one of the misericord seats lies a tiny crack and a little hole – and it is here that the Church Mouse lives.

When the congregation have gone home, the Vicar is at the Vicarage sipping tea and enjoying a cucumber sandwich, the cleaner has finished her work,
and the Verger has locked the doors, it is then that the Church Mouse comes out to play. Like Mr Ben, he owns a magical wardrobe filled with many costumes.

Today, he has chosen to dress as one of England’s most famous medieval legends – Robin Hood of Sherwood Forest. Cloak and feathered hat in place,
longbow and arrows at the ready, he sets off on a great adventure. Perhaps he will outwit the dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham, rescue Maid Marian,
or lend a helping paw to Friar Tuck with a spot of home brewing.

But when the new day begins and the Cathedral reopens for daily services, it is back to his little hole and a meagre bite to eat.
He is still a mouse and has always been hard done by, living quietly within the Cathedral and hoping for better things in life –
perhaps even a new home away from the stone walls he knows so well. He prays for your help. Could you be his saviour and new keeper?

Size: Approximately 3 inches tall

Each Church Mouse is cast in resin from a mould taken directly from the original hand-carved sculpture. They are not wooden carvings, though their carefully finished surface reflects the warmth and character of aged oak. Produced in small batches with great care and attention to detail, some pieces are made to order, so please allow 3–4 days before dispatch.
