Reading in Bed

Taken from the old saying “poor as a church mouse”, this charming Church Mouse forms part of our much-loved Poor Church Mice collection and makes a thoughtful and highly collectable addition to the series.

Designed by us in our workshop at Oakapple Designs, this gentle little mouse is captured during a quiet after-hours moment. Seated upright in bed, surrounded by books and the simple comforts of his room, he appears absorbed in his evening reading while the rest of the church sleeps.

This well-mannered little mouse finds comfort in learning and reflection during the peaceful hours of the night. Could you be his saviour and give him a new home where he will be cherished and admired?

Each Church Mouse is cast in resin from a mould taken directly from the original hand-carved sculpture. They are not wooden carvings, though their carefully finished surface reflects the warmth and character of aged oak. Produced in small batches with great care and attention to detail, some pieces are made to order, so please allow 3–4 days before dispatch.
