King Richard I

Tonight, he is dressed as King Richard the Lionheart, complete with crown, chainmail, sword and shield, ready to set off on one of his daring crusades. In his imagination he rides into battle, defending honour and kingdom alike, before returning quietly to the cathedral before dawn.
Though his adventures are grand, his life remains a humble one. Living among the cold stone and wooden stalls has never been easy, and he hopes for better days and a new home beyond the cathedral walls. With courage and quiet faith, he prays for your help. Could you be his saviour and new keeper?

Each Church Mouse is cast in resin from a mould taken directly from the original hand-carved sculpture. They are not wooden carvings, though their carefully finished surface reflects the warmth and character of aged oak. Produced in small batches with great care and attention to detail, some pieces are made to order, so please allow 3–4 days before dispatch.
