This delightful piece is known as the Church Verger’s Little Terrier Dog and is one of the latest additions to the Poor Church Mouse Collection. Belonging to the church verger, this loyal little dog spends much of his time within the church, faithfully watching over proceedings.
His main hobby is chasing the Church Cat (which perhaps explains why the cat always looks so sad), along with sleeping in quiet corners and chewing the occasional bone. He is, however, very partial to Bonio treats, especially when offered kindly by members of the congregation.
Each Animal is cast in resin from a mould taken directly from the original hand-carved sculpture. They are not wooden carvings, though their carefully finished surface reflects the warmth and character of aged oak. Produced in small batches with great care and attention to detail, some pieces are made to order, so please allow 3–4 days before dispatch.
